NEWS OF THE FLICK KIND!Other than that, my life is thoroughly uneventful. I went and saw Inglorious Basterds. Not bad. Kinda boring. Ending was fantastic.
OH MY GAWD! I almost forgot, meng! I bought Preacher: Book 1 by Garth Ennis. Now, this graphic novel may not be for everybody, but jesus, the gore is fantastic! "Merging with a bizarre spiritual force called Genesis, Texan Preacher Jesse Custer becomes completely disillusioned with the beliefs that he had dedicated his entire life to. Now possessing the power of "the word," an ability to make people do whatever he utters, Custer begins a violent and riotous journey across the country. Joined by his gun-toting girlfriend Tulip and the hard drinking Irish vampire Cassidy, the Preacher loses faith in both man and God as he witnesses dark atrocities and improbable calamities during his exploration of America."
I can't really describe this. But when you see a man with a face so disfigured that it looks like a ass hole and he's screaming in the rain, declaring his revenge on Jesse, and then claiming the 'supervillan name' Arseface, you can't help but break into hysterics. Or the screw up angels, or the hillbilly that screws a chicken in front of a one eyed hillbilly from the swamp, or God himself trying to act all macho and then getting pissed when Tulip doesn't bat an eyelash. Oh man, it's just fantastic.
